Since September 21, 2010, the night session has been extended for the Precious Metals, Oil and Index markets. The Rubber market is excluded and closes at 6:00 a.m. EDT/10:00 a.m. GMT.
This extension in trading hours follows a series of developments to improve access for global market participants. This includes demutualization of the exchange in 2008, a new trading system and market maker program in 2009, and the listing of commodity index contract in 2010.
