Broker Membership

Broker Members must be a Japanese entity and may trade on their own account (i.e: proprietary account) as well as on behalf of their customers (i.e: customer account). They will have direct access to TOCOM markets.

Trade Membership

Trade Members must be a Japanese entity and may only conduct proprietary trades (i.e: no customer business). They will have direct access to TOCOM markets.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Members can be a Japanese or foreign entity who only conduct trades through one or more of the Exchange’s Broker Members.

Associate Membership

Associate Members must be a foreign entity who is a member of an exchange overseas or trade association which deals with a commodity that is listed on TOCOM markets. For application, please click here.

In addition to the membership category selected, a member's status at the Japan Commodity Clearing House (JCCH), the Exchange’s designated clearinghouse, will also determine the type of business one may conduct. For further information on the clearinghouse, please visit JCCH website.
