TRIFO Incorporated's Bankruptcy Procedure Initiated


TOCOM-member TRIFO Incorporated has filed an application to a court for voluntary bankruptcy. Based on this filing, the court has declared on September 7th the commencement of the bankruptcy proceedings.

Following this ruling, that company has become a Defaulting Person as set forth under Item 1, Paragraph 2, Article 126 of the Articles of Incorporation.

Determined as a Defaulting Person and based on the Market Rules, all of TRIFO Incorporated’s positions (customer positions) were settled today (September 10th) in the afternoon session, without affecting TOCOM’s market prices or causing any problems to other members.

(Note) Returning margins to customers who have settled their positions

For customers who have settled their outstanding positions, JCCH (Japan Commodity Clearing House Co., Ltd.) will proceed with the returning of margins in accordance with its rules.
