Discontinuation of Spot Crude Oil Reference Price Posting
TOCOM has decided to discontinue posting on its website the spot crude oil reference price, which is calculated based on data provided by Platts, as of August 17, 2009, in accordance with our license agreement with said company. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Spot reference
prices will not be calculated in the case where either "Dubai and Oman Average
Price" or "Forex Rate" cannot be obtained by the Exchange.
Figures in red denote that the correction was made to the data.
Please note that the Final Settlement Price (FSP) will be calculated based on
the specific procedure determined by the Exchange using monthly average of crude
oil prices and that of FOREX rate. The FSP is different from the monthly average
of the Spot Reference Price.
*1 Spot Reference Price = Dubai and Oman Average Price x foreign exchange rate / 0.1590 <1bbl = 0.1590kl>
*2 Dubai and Oman Average Price is calculated based on crude oil prices assessed by a price information vendor (as a general rule, Platts).
*3 Foregin exchange rates used are TTM rates quoted by The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ,Ltd.
